I have been completely overwhelmed lately.
Work. Jet lag recovery. Work. Benjamin. Sleep. Work. It’s left me little time to read my favorite blogs in the single parent blogosphere. Hopefully things will calm down soon and I’ll have more time to surf. Until then, please, please … leave me the links to your favorite posts (written or read) and include a brief description if you can.
Remember: Shameless self-promotion is STRONGLY encouraged.

Better late than never. You know the drill, but if not…
Because we’re single parents and we don’t have time to read a million blogs every week I use this post every week to highlight my favorites and let you highlight yours … DON’T BE SHY. Shameless self-promotion is strongly encouraged.
My personal favorites this week
MommyPie & BlogHerNot – Mommy Pie
MommyPie orchestrated a BlogHer mutiny with BlogHerNot, a virtual conference for all of us who couldn’t make it to the real thing. Turns out BlogHerNot was the talk of the town at BlogHer. Go MommyPie, as always, you and your Doogs continue to rock my blogosphere world.
Single and Loving It – Too Much? - Katherine
She’s single and she loves it – but what about marriage? Awesome post. I know I can totally relate.
Single Dad. Hold Your Applause – The Resolve Note
In which Jonathan gets personal, which he rarely does, about women’s reactions to his single dad status.
I love to feel loved - Momma Cum Laude
She’s in college, raising her newborn with the help of her parents, the father is physically absent (military) but absent emotionally as well. She’s such a strong young woman and you should read this post.
Now it’s your turn – leave your links…

My personal favorites this week
Canada Day 2008
This post is so moving, so heart felt and so well-written that I’m almost scared to point you this way because you’ll never read my blog again. No seriously, go read this post in which Kristen describes her and her 3-year-old’s experience in a busy cafe with happily married people everywhere. Something we can all relate to.
3 Steps to Instant Happiness
Green Bean Mama shares one of her tricks to instant happiness. I really enjoyed this post! Thanks for the tip Clare!
It’s Better to Give Than to Receive
Single Ma at Fabulous Financials always serves up amazing posts but this one shows a clear case of how paying it forward can pay big. If you’re not a regular reader of her blog, you should be … this single mom knows how to save the pennies.
Your Turn …
If you have a blog - leave a link to the best post you wrote all week.
If you don’t have a blog – leave a link the best post you’ve read all week.
Try to keep them on the single parent theme, but if there’s something extra special out there, feel free to post it.

This week, I had absolutely zero blog surfing time. Which means I can’t give you a nifty blog recap this week so it’s up to you single parent bloggers.
Leave your link and a brief description of your post. Shamless self-promotion is STRONGLY encouraged.
And a note to my readers: I am reading every single one of your comments, I just haven’t had time to respond to every one. Just didn’t want you to think I’m not pondering, digesting and loving each and every one of your comments. I’m TOO damn busy. Darn it. Someone slow this train down please.
In the meantime, please leave the links to the best of the single parent blogosphere.

The Best of the Single Parent Blogosphere

We’re all busy…too busy to read a million blogs every day. So, I thought it would be a great idea if all of us, bloggers or non-bloggers used this post once a week to copy and paste their favorite posts of the week. I’ll put it up every Tuesday night.
If you have a blog - leave a link to the best post you wrote all week, or the most popular post.
If you don’t have a blog – leave a link the best post you’ve read all week.
Try to keep them on the single parent theme, but if there’s something extra special out there, feel free to post it. [click to continue…]
