2009 Fiesta Road Trip
John Bear and I took off in Fiesta Dave to reach a secluded cabin in the middle of the Poconos Mountains. Then it was off to New York City and then... well, you'll just have to stay tuned to find out the rest.

I decided to get a leaf tattoo on the way home from my Fiesta Mission training. Inspired by the spirit of the mission and single moms... hope you like it!
Our Apartment
When I left my husband I had to move into my mother's house for the first year. Some how I managed to get us back to the city and to my career which meant I got to pick out a new apartment. And even though it's small, this place is absolutely perfect and is Benjamin and I's little Heaven on Earth.
Joshua Tree
In February, Benjamin and I went out to Joshua Tree National Park. We rented a house in the middle of the desert just near the park and got a visit from Matt and Maddy.
Austin (SXSW)
SXSW Interactive in Austin - always a good time and an incredible chance to connect and learn.
Trip to Vancouver
Benjamin and I went to Vancouver to visit my single mom blogger friend, Kristin and her three-year-old son Nolan.

This is cute! I was going to ask, what made you begin this. But now I know. I think I will also tune in. It looks like I will be among the last of my friends to have a falmiy and children. Totally okay with that, because there will be plenty of my friends books to read. All I have to do is turn to a friend and say, can we turn to this chapter, cause uhhhh I am there. I enjoy being the spectator of my friends married and falmiy lives. So I look forward to reading about your journey.
We love, love Yellow Springs and vacation there almost every year (usually during their spring fair). Antioch University has undergone some difficult times recently…if not for that my daughter would be attending school there instead of somewhere else a little further north. I think I need a Ha Ha pizza…
I agree, it is so sad that not every couple in the cortuny is allowed to get married. It’s hard to understand that such discrimination exists in 2010! I hope the next generation will look back at our time and think, I cannot BELIEVE that was not allowed.Here’s to hoping.

must be fair to say that the french are iniiiddualistvc, in a not-so-humble way. if you get past that character of them, i guess you can go along well with any other nationalities. (i don’t really buy the donation thing.)i am not fond of french people but the very few i like i really look up to. (uhm, like truffaut and godard and bazin, haha)

I was on the phone with the lady at midnight ordering these boots, we were both cracking up, I am in my kitchen with my husbands measuring tape, trying to measure my calf’s. I love lake Erie! My roommate is from Erie, PA and every summer around the 4th of July my other friend and I head up there to visit her for about a week! If you ever go to Erie sometime during the summer go to Presque Isle and drive to Beach 11…great scenery and in my opinion their best beach! =)
