When I was last there, most guys were on average 6ft4 most seemed to live in the gym,and most of them seemed to bat for the other team! at 5ft8 and ugly I thought it was a great waste, so as a single woman with or without children the pool in SF must be very competative,my daughter who is nearly 39 told me that even in the UK with the shortage of eligable men, many girls younger than her are dating men as old as me

This is a great site, thank you Momma, but asking guys in SF? As your last dialogue here shows, I think the single mom/parent is misunderstood and I think people might be doing us a disservice to think that we don't have our kids best interests at heart.

Nice Website. And I don't think many of the young women who are doing it 100% solo had a choice in the matter - they chose to have their children and bring them into the world - a very, very brave choice indeed.
To each his own. I am well aware there are judgments and stereotypes about single moms, hence this blog and the ongoing discussion that we have going on here.
Thank you for your thoughts.

I do think a one parent childhood is ideal when the child’s father knowingly leaves the scene – that kind of a man can only hurt a child not help him.

And I don’t think many of the young women who are doing it 100% solo had a choice in the matter – they chose to have their children and bring them into the world – a very, very brave choice indeed.

To each his own. Judgements of one kind or another are surely what all humans make. It isn't very open of you to decry opinions, which you feel run counter to your own.
In my family there have been three generations who had a child out of marriage. Sister, daughter and grand-daughter. I personally would want to discourage that.
If you have an ex-husband then your child knows its father. This is not always the case. I would hope you wouldn't argue for a one parent childhood as ideal, that's all!

I was thinking more of the common situation of young women who don’t have the father of their child in the picture. Just surfed your site and watched your vids. You're nice an all, but the overiding feeling I have in response, is to feel sorry for the children of single moms. They are getting a one-sided introduction to planet Earth and the lack of male interaction surely affects them quite strongly.
Why are single women allowing themselves to become single moms? It must be their actual choice many times. It's a choice that seems to be quite selfish, at least in the outcome for the child. I know you love your kids to bits and that is wonderful for them, but still...

Hi,

Just surfed your site and watched your vids.
