The new digs.

by mssinglemama on March 10, 2011

Finally, we are close enough to finished in the office to reveal some interior shots.

Mom gets all of the credit for the new office. I literally gave her my credit card and said, “Go, and don’t even ask me about anything because I don’t have time.” Ninety percent of what you see is up-cycled. The rest is from Ikea. Her vision was to mix the old and new, symbolic of exactly what Cement Marketing is.

First, that giant and totally awesome door.

And some more views from the front

These boxes (from Habitat for Humanity) are painted with chalk board paint.

Tania, our designer is tucked back there. She likes the quiet. Mom is not a fan of the burlap curtains behind her – so those may be getting the boot.

Here’s my desk. Love, love, love, love it.

And then to the left of my desk there is a wall. A custom built wall with a conference room inside! Isn’t that crazy?

The granite table top is from Habitat. TheĀ  chairs are vintage and the curtains are from Ikea.

My Mom is available if you have an office or home space you need designed or even just decorated on a super tight budget.

The entire Cement Marketing team (me included!) is headed off to Austin, Texas tomorrow for the SXSW Interactive Festival. I’ll be back with stories and pictures… aside from work, Benjamin and I are doing really well. We’re both adjusting back to our duo status and feeling more and more comfortable every day.

NO way? Only for a few hours and on such a miserable day – next time you should both come and stay for a while.

Your mom is so talented with design – I always felt like I was walking into a magazine when I was in your houses -

Wow! Looks great! Going to be a lot of creativity coming out of this amazing space! Congrats

just a little jealous that you are headed to SXSW…I spent a few hours @ the Texas Rockfest a couple years back. Have the itch to get back down there again, great opportunities in Austin.

The new digs look incredible. Great work Mom on recycling the old and incorporating it with the new. Nice colors, but I agree about those brown burlaply drapes as they look to drag things down a bit. Say hi to Mom!

Love it. Love your blog, inspirational posts and your style! Seeing your new office space, I can see you get some of that style from your mamma. :)

On a separate note, may I have the name of that boot store? I may have to add a shopping trip to that very same store to my bucket list…

Grazie!
