Respect RX

by mssinglemama on March 9, 2011

In honor of International Women’s Day (two days ago), InfoLinks.com, an in-text ad provider, offered to make a $1,000 donation to the women’s charity or non-profit of my choice. Because I think that’s totally incredible and that passing it up would have been like tossing a $1,000 into the trash, I immediately responded with a “Yes, yes, yes!”.

I am choosing the Respect Institute, a new non-profit created by Respect RX author and respect evangelist, Courtney Macavinta. Cement Marketing is creating the first Respect Institute website as we speak (stay tuned, because it is going to rock), but for now you can find out everything about Respect RX and the Institute here.

Led by Courtney’s vision to foster self-esteem and respect in the hearts and minds of young women across the country, the organization has now grown to include respect building programs for boys and families. Courtney and her team come to high schools and hold assemblies or they train your school or school system on building their on Respect programming.

Unbelievable stuff and something critically needed in this country. Please hop over there and give Courtney a visit and keep them in mind for your child’s school district. Also watch this video and find out why Courtney started Respect RX.

[Warning: tear jerker alert on this one.]
