This weekend after baking a birthday cake from scratch – a delicious banana cake topped with whipped cream.
The recipient was Grandma Bear, who deserves 10 cakes just like it every day because she’s so sweet, and because she really knows how to raise excellent humans.
And then…
I bought a sweater for a dog.
But not just any dog. The dog in question in Murphy, the sweetest and cuddliest doggy ever to walk the planet.
So, I guess that’s it. I bought a sweater for a dog. This single mama is officially completely domesticated.

I bought my pug a sweater, purple puffy vest and matching purple boots….it makes outside time much better! Although, she now will run around and wait to do her business – so maybe not my brightest idea. I put the sweater on the cat, just to see what he would do. He immediately dropped on to his belly and acted like I had paralyzed him….or at the very least, ripped away his manhood.
Um, you can’t post a picture of a homemade banana cake and then leave us drooling without a recipe!!

For the top I used home made whipped cream with lots of sugar. Should have decorated with bananas or made banana cream filling but I ran out of bananas and didn’t have the heart to send John Bear to the store again!

How sweet is that! That is such a cute sweater, I wish I could put one on my puppy dodge, there is noooo way he’d sit for that! As soon as it would go on he would be bucking around biting and tearing at it! That is definetly a lot of cake! Impressive!
