That's nice that you are sending all those necklaces. A different kind of donation. Like a donation of hope and single mom unity. And we all know hope is a day to day necessity just as much as food and shelter. I hope the ladies see the donation as such and will be thankful for something different and beautifying. Knowing my single aunts and fatherless cousins (who live in literally shacks with no electricity in one of the non-touristy provinces of the Philippines), they would probably sell such a donation given by a stranger even if it did symbolize hope (because for them..getting through another day is the epitome of hope). Unfortunately, the amount received would never amount to the actual amount the necklace is worth in American dollars. Wouldn't it be wonderful though if some or most of the lucky 65 ladies actually kept the necklaces and were photographed wearing them with big ol smiles on their faces as if to say..look at what this wonderful woman did for us.
