If you missed it…
Last month I entered a video in hopes of being selected as one of 100 Ford Fiesta Movement agents.
A few weeks later I got a surprising phone call from Ford that I had, indeed won. The call came from this guy… Andrew, my Mission Control point of contact.
Isn’t he the sweetest?
I’ve already called him in the middle of the night (his time) with a non-emergency call and he wasn’t even upset. I just feel so much better knowing I’m in good hands. Standing behind Andrew are the two guys I hung out with the most during my agent training. On the left is So_Andy_Said and on the right is Mark, known as Lushville on Twitter. They are both nearly as sweet and definitely as cool as Andrew so follow them and say “hi”.
Soon after I found out I won I let all of you pick the graphics with Benjamin breaking the tie. The winner? Black fancy flowers on my magenta car. In exchange for the car, the gas and the insurance I have to complete a Ford Fiesta Movement mission every month for the next six months.
But, being the ansy single mama I am, Morgan (who came to meet me in Chicago for this) and I decided a rogue mission was in order… watch this video to find out what we concocted. One hint: it’s permanent and it involves all of you.
You’ll also see all of the big highlights from my agent training (including finding and driving my car) and then Benjamin’s reaction when we got home.

when i traveled in ireland on my first trip without my parents i bought a celtic necklace that i wore for years. when i lost it, i got it as a tattoo! yep. no lie.

I love fresh new tattoos, my roses have since faded, but my eyeliner is tattooed on and I get that refreshed every cuple of years. Car looks great, can't wait to see more adventures. And yes Dr. Phibes, we are all looking forward to 6 months of "car bullcrap".
Oh I LOVE the idea of Single Mama necklaces! It reminded me that I wanted to share some info with you and your readers. Last month I went on a date (which was awful) to a fundraiser for a company that makes jewelry, Solstice Designs. There goal this year was to be able to give 400 necklaces – titled "The Courage Within" – to children in shelters around the country, so that they could give their mothers a gift on Mother's Day. To continue their generosity, for every Courage Within necklace they sell, they will donate $5 to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
