New Comments

by mssinglemama on February 3, 2009

My comments have been upgraded by my WordPress geek friend, Brad Spencer. He’s awesome by the way – if you ever want to invest in a blog makeover.

Anyhow, now the comments allow us all to respond directly to a specific comment. You can also vote a comment up or down if you think it deserves to be up on top.

If your photo profile is blank just go here to upload an avatar – this will carry over to every other blog you comment on. Just be sure to use the e-mail address you use for your new avatar when you make a comment. (Please do it, because I LOVE seeing your faces).

Have fun with the new comments! Thanks in advance for making this a two-way conversation. I’m the first to say that my comment section is one of the main attractions of my blog. You make my blog that much more interesting.

Again, thank you.

XOXO

Ms. Single Mama

I am technologically challenged enough to have no idea where to create my avatar.

I am also just learning this whole blogging thing, I finally started my own!

After reading all of your very inspirational posts about you, your son and ex, I felt the very strong urge to tell my own story too.

Come visit me at http://huntinghorsefeathers.blogspot.com/

I would love to have some company over there, its very lonely starting out in the Single Mom club LOL.

I've had a Gravatar for…well, forever. It wasn't until WordPress, et al, started being big that I could actually see it!

Hmm…I should check if my WP blog is actually displaying them correctly…

That is a very interesting question, and after reading the post I would have to agree that I could date myself, but only in a “we’re just good friends” kind of way. Sure, I love myself and all the shame and depressing thoughts behind becoming a single mom is long gone, but I am afraid that I am not that great of a catch….when it comes to a romantic relationship anyway.

See, I too have developed into a strong woman and mother that truly feels like she can handle just about any struggle the world throws at her. But, all that strength and determination to make it on my own has turned me into a bitch! I’m afraid that I do not know how to compromise, and I’ve forgotten how to let a man feel like he can come close to taking care of me, and I cringe when I think about getting all mushy and weak behind anyone outside of my son! I just want to take off some of the strength and independence and learn how to be vulnerable again.
