Period. If you want to donate $10, pledge $10 (and accept any amount people want to contribute. Seriously! Who do these people think they are?). They cannot force you (or anyone else) to do (or pay) anything. These places make me crazy with their rules. I started bucking the system when my kids were in Catholic school. If I didn't need gift wrap, I didn't buy no stinking gift wrap! LOL The same thing went for everything else they nickle and dimed us with throughout the year. I supported their fundraising and other efforts in any way I could, and that was that. Be strong, Mama! Do what you can and let the rest of it go. Seriously. They just stopped counting. So funny. I knew it. I did send a camera and the shots are good, enough to get a taste of it. He definitely had fun and is now already passed out - I'm on my way too. Still fighting off this nasty sickness I've had all week. NO donations seriously. If you must, make a pledge to a charity of your choice in Benjamin's honor. Okay? This way you're not hooked into giving more than you can. And don't feel at all embarassed at a small pledge card. Every bit helps Ours was short too. I have two kids in Elementary school and I feel so misplaced all of the time. But be prepared...I have already written 5 checks for the school in this month alone...not to mention slaving away last night to make Green Chile for their school pot luck!!!
